Big Orders!

Kate had another great night! It's been a little bit crazy the past day or so. Seth and Andy's parents came up yesterday and we have been able to spend a lot of time together! YEAH! Wednesday afternoon Seth, Andy and I went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. It was great fun...and a great place to stay out of the heat. Then last night...Andy and I spent the night in the camper with Seth while Nana stayed with Kate in the room. It was nice to snuggle with Seth and just lay on the couch and watch Clifford! Then this morning, we were able to utilize the hotel accommodations that Larry and Cathy were using to go swimming! That little boy just loves to swim. Now...Seth and I are headed to our friend Sharyn's to have lunch and play.

It is a relief to know that Kate is doing so well and be able to spend such quality time with Seth. The nurse has big orders today to stop some medicine, take her off the Vapotherm machine, increase her feeds, take out a central line...it looks like it is going to be a good day. Our biggest obstacle does seem to be the drug withdrawal...but they have a new drug to battle that....just seems odd to me to battle drug addiction with other drug...but...if that is what keeps her resting peacefully...let it be!
Pictures from Seth at the museum: scoopin rocks, driving the mini loader and scoopin' icecream! He's a worker!

Glad to hear all is going well. I'm sure Seth is soaking up the one on one time! Glad you had a good time at the museum, it's a favorite of ours! Praying for quick recovery from the side effects of withdrawl. That's the down fall to good sedation while intubated!

Glad to hear all's well and that you even managed to have some fun! I am so happy that you've been able to hold Kate again - that really brought tears to my eyes - I can't imaging not being able to hold my babies! Glad you got to see Sharyn, too.

Go, Kate, go!!!!
