More pumpkin fun!

Sunday afternoon we continued our yearly tradition of going to the Pumpkin Train. This year, we took our friends and neighbors. It was quite busy (or at least we got there at the RUSH)...but it was still fun. Except...visiting a pumpkin patch in 80 degree weather just isn't right. It was crazy hot...and we were all dressed in shorts too! The patch (not impressed) was really picked over...but it didn't bother Seth at all. He just loved hiking through the little trails in the fields.

Once we were done...we went out for ice cream! CRAZY! We should have been sipping hot cider and munching on doughnuts...but ice cream just sounded good. Nothing says ""fall is here" like ice cream!! (but then...when isn't ice cream good?)

I am ready for fall...bring on those crisp breezes...I'm ready...at least right now I am!
All the kids...and their new friend!
Daddy & Seth w/ the pumpkin!
I can't get enough of this face...is this really my kid?
Wow, I'm blessed!
Sarah & Seth enjoyed walking the trails in search of scary things! Seth w/ the little engine of the pumpkin train
This man had a "hobby" of trains and over the years acquired small gauge tracks, trains and and old train station and set them up in the woods. Now, his family continues running the "Pumpkin Train" every fall. Wow...what a hobby!

Looks like you guys had a great time! I agree though, 80 degree weather and a pumpkin patch just don't mix. Zachary came home with a sunburn after our visit!

What a fun day! I couldn't believe how warm it was last weekend here, too. It felt like it was the middle of July. Kinda weird, but soon there will be snow on the ground and I'll wonder how that happened so fast. Glad Seth enjoyed his time at the pumpkin patch! What a cutie. :) oxox

What a contradiction in terms - looking for pumpkins in 80 degree weather?! Looks like you all had fun, though. From the weather reports it sounds like that crisp weather is on its way!

Way to go, Seth on a great season of soccer! Can't wait to see pictures from next season!
