Christmas Eve

We headed over to my parent's house late morning to celebrate Christmas with my brother and his family.  After our traditional meal of spare ribs, mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and peas...we exchanged presents between the cousins.

Grant is very meticulous opening presents...usually 1 handed and tears off small pieces of paper.

It drives the older boys crazy...cause it's 1 gift at a time, starting with the youngest.   They want desperately to help the "babies" open their gifts so they can move on to their turn.
Cousins and friends enjoying some cookies.

We stuck around all afternoon and played some games (and napped) before heading to church.   The pajama elves came while we were at church and left their new Christmas jammies in the car.    Seth kept saying:  "someone broke into our car...weird"
Then home to put out cookies for Santa.
Oh I could just eat him up...he was SO LOVING Christmas this year....what a fun age!
He even thought Baby Jesus needed some cookies too!
Andy read the birth of Christ as told in Luke and Seth listened so intently...
While...Grant was more worried about getting his socks off..

Then Seth read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and I listen intently....
While Grant rode the horse!   Maybe next year he'll be a little more focused!

And they were so exicted for Christmas to come the next fact so excited it took HOURS for them both to fall asleep!
